projectshopBLOODbros will be carrying the lomo kompart automat camera very soon to be launch in our boutiques. ITs on consignment basis so even i could not get a discount.
I was in the meeting for this camera today and i must say its quite a fun 'manual' camera. It features a 32mm wide-angle glass lens multi coated, a sub plastic/metal body in black colour. It has a hotshoe mount, aperture of up to 16f ,ASA (ISO) 100-400 and adjustable focal point of 0.8m to infinity. The shutter speed is determined by the camera sensor. When shutter is depressed you will hear a click followed by a second click when the shutter closes. It could take very long exposures -salesrep claim he took a pics of bar lights in very dim conditions and the shutter opened for at least a minute, washed the film and it turn out nicely! To view it, please go to www.lomo.com[/url] I think its retailing for $339.90 (not confirm) and so far two of my colleagues express interest in it (for its cool retro feel!). I was holding my FM2 side by side and told myself i have enough cams .Anyway its in very limited stocks so go see it when its release (next week i think). Enjoy! actually the lomo autokompact is being offered at ~$330 at the lomographic society headquarters here. You can also get it at the same price (+GST) at Kinokuniya.
it's a fun camera - doesn't always work all the time, but the colours produced on ordinary film are quite gorgeous. |

My Store Manager told me that the ppl there all dress funny 'English' and have weird names like the guy who come up to give us a brief, his name is LITTLE.
Anyway, a little rant. Today i went up to 'teach' 10 people who know 'nuts' about camera the features of a manual cam and loading without even having a sample at hand. But i think i got them into the right track. Some of them even ask me what if they load a iso 100 film and dial a 400 on the cam. I say 'push it', they say, which button? ![]() |
