Default Software bug or my 7D body faulty (minor)??

Guys n gals,

Need you all to go through this simple step-by-step test to help me out!!!

Step1: Switch on AS

Step2: Switch the Control Dial to M Mode

Step3: Dial all the way to 'Bulb' [AS is disabled automatically]

Step4: Switch the Control Dial to S Mode

Step5: Shutter speed shows 30" *Important: Do Not touch anything, Do Not Dial, just half press the shutter button [AS indicator is back in action]

Step6: Switch the Control Dial to A Mode

Step7: Now, try auto-focus / manual focus, half press AS indicator disappears from my biew finder. How about yours???

If ans. for Step7 is 'Yeah, mine is still there...' then, I think mine will need to check with KM Centre already.

If ans. for Step7 is 'Holly s**t, where the h*ll is my AS?' then, no worries, continue Step8 below.

Step8: Switch the Control Dial back to S Mode, move a little on the shutter speed (back to 30" is fine as long as u moved once)

Step9: Switch the Control Dial back to A Mode for final action. Dadaaanggg... the incredible magnificent AS is back in action...

pheeewww... at first I tot my AS collapsed aft these few days trying...

Step 7: Mine is still there.

Step 5: I don't need to dial, it was already on 30" automatically

Step 7: I can still see the AS indicator. Only half press shutter for step 5.

You're such a good bug finder, maybe if my company need extra tester, we can hire you

My version is 1.00e... you can press certain keys on the camera to get the version to be displayed. I need to get home and try again. I can;t remember the combination though.
