I've always read abt Sigma and Canon lenses n so far would only purchase/try out lenses from either one, so i know little abt tamron lenses.
so what tamron lense model can i look out for if i want to cover from wide angle to mid tele? comparision between tamron and sigma lenses, if any...n are tamron stuffs more ex than sigma? Sites and links and photo samples are welcomed. frankly, i really know little abt tamron stuffs so need to learn more abt it.

The legendary Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and the super sharp Tamron SP90 macro lens. Two of Tamron's best offerings...

I own one. The picture quality definitely rules over the EF-S 18-55. Focusing a little slow. A little soft on the longer end, vignetting still ok when stopped down to f/8.0. If ur eyes not as sharp as mine, f/5.6 still manageable. Good walkabout lens, but abit heavy. Till I can get something to cover in the range of 17/18mm-50mm, I'll dump my EF-S. ![]() |

i've seen photo samples from the 28-75...it sure is cool...i too read that there's a macro version of it...or only the macro version is available? i duuno...
i found out that, I could be wrong here, sigma dont produce a cool zoom lense from the wide to 80mm focal length...that's y i'm looking for other alternatives... i've tried the sigma 18-50 previously...and it's soft for most of my shots...

take note that from what i read from Fred Miranda Forum, some copies (in US) of the 28-75 are not sharp right out of the box and had to be sent back to Tamron....do we have the same problem back in S'pore..... but I think should not be a problem if we buy from a reputable shop...we could always go back to the shop for an 1-1 xchange......
