I shot my images at 8MP but obviously they are too large for a slide show that I wish to do on the computer.
I found a dimension of 1526 x 1024 at 96 ppi resolution by downsizing the image is sufficient for a full screen display. But the size of each image is like 0.5 MB at jpg 8 (High) Quality. Any way for me to reduce the dimension further without affecting the image quality or full screen size? Thanks! |

it depends on the set resolution of your screen, there is no point having images bigger that your screen, it only slows down the slideshow

Set to 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600dpi, save for web.

For slideshows, if using photoshop, I would use Automate>Fit Image>1024 x 768
Save as quality 9 (for good viewing quality) |

Just use Irfanview to batch resize all your images to 1024x768 or 1280x1024. That should suffice for most purposes.
