It is simply amazing to see them in the wild. Yes, theres Mr 'Zoo escapee' Painted Stork right there As added info, Sarus cranes mate for life. |

Finally! The pair of Sarus Crane is simply beautiful. I like the way you captured them in symmetry.
Just one question: how do you tell a male from a female in this species? I only notice that the dark colored band around the neck, one is broader than the other. The male is usually larger, so I guess the feather in front is a female and the one behind is a male? The second pix reminds me of those "policeman" storks I saw in Bird Park sometime back. cool. ![]() |
