New Canon Cameras?

When will the next batch of Canon digicams be coming out? I was originally thinking of getting the Powershot S1 IS, but held back due to its low image resolution (3.2MP). A Powershot S2 maybe? And hopefully with AF assist too!

ya....add in a hotshoe would be cool too.....and also a vertical grip.... and and also a BLACK version...woot.... looks like slr liao... but with fixed zoom lense....lol...i think 5mp with a bigger CCD would be just nice..... weight abt 500g...

Just did some searching and according to some guy on Steve's Digicam Forums who emailed Canon, Canon said they're not working on a new model of this cam (that was in October 2004). Maybe Feb next year?

Just did somemore searching and found that Steve, the editor of Steve's Digicams and Jeff Keller, editor of DCresource.com both said it will be at least after Feb 2005 that an S2 is likely to come out...

I was planning to sell my 300D off soon, which I did so yesterday, after a reliable source told me "If you want sell off your 300D, do it now..."

I'll leave it up to interpretation by you all..but my guess is that it is pretty sure a 300D replacement will be announced, with availability maybe 2 or 3 months down the road..but that's just a guess..
