Default Harrier and Geese

For this instalment just sharing a few more flight shots, will post Crane/Stork shots for Jeff tomorrow.

Whenever a Raptor such as this Eurasian Marsh Harrier flew across, you could see the Greylag and Bar-head Geese honking and taking off

middle shot works for me. Can almost see the glow of the setting sun on the geese. Nice work!

thanks the comments guys. for the flight shots, theres an element of luck involved and you still must know when to press the shutter release. High fps gives you more images to pick from if you press the shutter release at the correct time. If pressed at the wrong time, all you get is 8 lousy pics

Nice flight shots there. Sharp and detailed. I especially like the last shot of the geese flying in a diagonal pattern.

Hi epia,

thats a very complex topic, search 'birds' in clubsnap and you'll get lots of past discussions. Just spend some time looking through the Clubsnap world of nature bird pixs threads and theres plenty of discussion there.

NPS has many courses including a beginners Bird photography course you can join which i strongly recommend: http://www.naturephotosociety.org.sg...p?DBEventID=95
