ps stroke help

ok heres the thing...

I am making a border for a picture right...canvas..etc

but when I do a stroke, Location: outside....it doesnt appear.. so help pls

ps. the other 2 Location does appear

The stroke command will not increase your canvas size...so u won't see it on the outside.

Try this: Use the rectangular marquee tool to select an inner portion of the photo. Then, you can add an outside stoke to that selection.
