PS: If you are doing a huge amount of high quality film scans, this is the type of scanner, but if its for a few scans then there's no point buying a $10,000+ scanner, according to Reichmann. Regards, Nick

I'm doing a few hundred scans and I need high quality scans to blow up pictures to poster size. Thanks for your advice.

One of the CSer, Kex, does offer film scaning services with his Imacon flextight.
At around $5 per frame of 6x7. the price is very competitive, considering that it used to cost me $65 to scan a frame of that in some other pro labs. Check it out http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=71054 |
