Hi folks,
After reading up about all the recommendations and pros & cons, I finally took the plunge and get a Canon 300D DSLR. Gotta admit that I'm really clueless into photography but it was fun experimenting! Anyhow, I went down to SLS to get the camera. Then went to get a dry-cabinet and some other accessories like a blower (did I get that right?). I also got a Vivitar macro lense at S$130. I can't effort those that can shoot from a comfortable distance so I gotta be real close to the subject therefore lighting was a challenge. So here's the "first light" that the camera saw. Dino. my Pug and companion. My first macro shot! Macro shot of porcelain milk cup Zul performing at Dukes cafe Its a complicated camera (at least to a newbie like me!). There's so much to learn! But I'm just so happy to have finally gotten a camera like that. Thnk my next purchase will be a good macro lense and a ring flash. Anyone can recommend a good place to get or relate their experience? |

NOT BAD!!!!!
...your macro shots are not badA 300D is a plus and minus cam to me...so explore the limits and start to understand photography with it...shoot in any condition and lighting...the 300D can handle it... here's some no flash concert photos that i took using a 300D with kit lenses: http://forum.clubsnap.com/showthread...696#post987696 remember...a cam is just a tool that you need to master to be the master of it...thus you'll produce good photos!!! CHEERS!

I bought a second hand 19" monitor and it had a sticky "PornStar" on it. It thought the previous owner had some real good time watching porno on da 19". He later revealed that its actually a brandname for a clothing line in the states. So since then I use the moniker PornStar. End of Story. LOL. ![]() |

Its a Vivitar lense. Its just like a screw on filter which you can attached to your lense. I got it at Peninsular, Photocam. Look for John. He'll try to sell you the wide angel that comes with it but don't get that, it has major curvature problem.. porn* Last edited by porn-star; 22nd December 2004 at 05:07 PM. |
