Fyi, best bargain sells either parallel imported cards or fakes ones. Have a friend who used to work there as a sales person. So buy at ur own risks. I have a sd card from there that is corrupted after a few usage. Lucky my cam writes to both media. I will still buy from them as long as there is sufficient savings and its not for impt shoots. Cos there is still shop warranty.

That was the standard price. If u want a little bargain, check the store at level 6 furthest right hand corner into the hall.

I have heard that the buffer for the DSLR is also important as the speed of the SD card. Is that true? So should I buy scan disk extreme or ultra for my D7000? Can someone help me?

exactly. you said it right - "who knows?" hence, try not to make such allegations against retailers. its like saying people sell fake nikons, fake canons, etc. just wanted to remind u to stay on the safe side.

    Definitely not fake lah.

If it's fake, u think they dare to participate in the IT fair selling fakes??? They will be a sitting duck for the authorities to raid them.

And Vector Magnetics will not let them off as well.

    Parallel imports, yes.

Must also check Vector Magnetics stickers are on the packaging... Double confirm with a receipt to ensure life time full warranty by SanDisk local distributor Vector Magnetics.

I seen the fake ones in Shenzhen...looks really like the real deal if ppl don't inspect closely.

So how does one discern a real from a fake Sandisk memory card?

The problem now is that Singapore has 3 distro for sandisk memory cards and flashdrive. Ingram Micro, Vector Magnetics & Kaira. If you buy a 2nd hand memory card, how to tell which is which amonf the other two distro?
