Default Purchasing Memory Card at IT show

    Hi Bros,

I need to get a memory card by this Sat. and IT show is just 2 days away. As such, can someone kindly advise me if it'll be cheaper to get it in IT or as usual expect shops to be cheaper? I tried looking for the price of Sandisk Extreme 16gb SDHC but couldn't find any in the IT brochures

Usually there will be official Sandisk booth by shop like MS Color. Their pricing is pretty much controlled and warranty is by Vector Magnetics.

If you want cheaper, there is always the parallel import route but take note VM can identify which ones are brought in by them and which ones are not.
You wont see me much less remember me but i am the guy who makes you look good.

    Hi Bro,

Luckily saw your reply otherwise could have gotten myself a parallel imported w/o knowing it. Have since got an Extreme SDHC 16GB at SLRR and I find the price quite reasonable. Thanks alot!!

Best Bargain is parallel import and offers only shop warranty. I find the pricing at the shows and Best Bargain to be very similar. Will update again if I can find time to go down and take a look.

I was looking for Sandisk CF 16 GB ultra (30 mbps). Usual price is $69, but selling at $63 at IT Show. But later decided to try Lexar 16 GB, 400X (60 mbps) for $73

Update for all. Best Bargain at SLS is not opening for business until IT Show is over. They have their booth at Suntec 6th floor.

Take note there are at least 3 distributors for Sandisk - Kaira, Vector Magnetics and Direction Enterprises. The pricing are more or less standardized for the products. Didn't check whether Best Bargain is using parallel import versions or not although the pricing is similar to others. A couple of smaller booths are selling at a higher price tho. Do your homework. Given more or less the same price, I just get the one distributed by Vector Magnetics as their office is at Middle Road - easier for support and identify with their own sticker.

    Star products:
    Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC (95MB/s)
    IT Show: 16GB @ $73
    SLS Bizgram: 16GB @ $88

    Sandisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC card
    IT Show: 16GB @ $26

Sandisk Ultra SDHC Class 4 card (15MB/s)
    IT Show: 16GB @ $27

    Sandisk Ultra CF card (30MB/s)
    IT Show: 16GB @ $63
    SLS Bizgram: 16GB @ $72
