Default Telephoto Converter ACT-100

I am thinking about buying the Telephoto Converter ACT-100 for my A2 Dimage.

Has anyone had good results using this converter or the wide angle converter?

If I am not wrong, it is a 1.5X tele convertor from minolta, right?

If that is the one, I don't think it is useful in my view. That convertor is heavy, and the build, if i am not wrong, is metal. While your A2 is len barrel is plastic and once you mount that gaint thing on it, your A2 can't balance well. On top of that, if you zoom from wide to tele, your zoom ring got problem turning as that piece of glass is heavy. Maybe you mount the convertor after you zoom to the 200 mark else I don't think it is safe for you to zoom in with the convertor on it.

I did try it, at the minolta service center. Maybe you should try it before buying it.

Thanks for your help. I will try it at a camera shop before buying it.
