Nice att3empt but you need a steadier tripod or better telephoto lens with wide aperture... alternatively, wait for better natural lighting and then shoot to minimize blurness...

All shots handhelds....
I think it was due to that I started at 8.30am without breakfast.....hand grew tired very fast.... can't blame the gears, the 100-400L-IS in League of the White Lenses.... my 1st attempt with this lens at this subject.... as advised by the elderly photographer at the site, a flash is needed..... 580EX was recommended.... Wahhh, with all these weight, I think i will need a maid to carry for me, not a tripot....

Hi Brother,
Nice but a little too tight around the bird. Give it some space. I have mine here. |

Great... I will take note of it... most of the shots show are cropped a little....to block out the stray leaves....

Hi Lensman,
Good attempts there but I find the images on general to appear soft. Did you shoot handheld or with tripod? Although IS does help to a certain extent, handholding it for long intervals is tiring and might result in shaky hands i.e. blur images. It could be also due to shutter speed not high enough too. Use a tripod and boost shutter speed (say abt 1/200 and above) would help ensure tack sharp results.

All shots handheld... i can't remember the shuttle speed. That is why I was saying, lens is heavy but shiok.
BUT, on my screen, the photos are deliciously sharp. That is why I was beaming with joy. Still puzzeled as to why is soft after uploading. Perhaps it may be due to that I have resized it to 800x600 for posting...May try a higher size next and let photobuket downsize it to 800x600... ..
