What is focus micro adjust, and how to micro adjust focus.
    AF Micro adjustment Tutorial

It is only available on higher end bodies. It is not available on 550D.

In the current Canon lineup, the only models that have AF micro adjust feature are 7D and above.

Carl Zeiss lens is manual focus. There is no autofocus. But you still need to test if the focus confirmation is accurate.

Front or back focusing of other 3rd party lens can still be calibrated in lens. But you need to bring it back to their respective service centre for calibration. So it is better to be a new local warranty copy.

To know if your lens is front or back focusing... download this focus test chart and follow the instructions.
