Default Notre Dame Cathedral in Canada

Hi, I'm pretty new to this forum. Thought I could get some advice here.

    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
    (a) Composition of the image
    (b) HDR processing (Used photomatix and touched up with PS)

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To capture the intricate details put into the structure which gave a sense of awe.

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
As mentioned above, just gazing at the effort put into building the interior, it felt really majestic.

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
It's one of my best images so far I think. I do realise that there is a light spot on the ceiling. Not sure how to remove it though.

3 Exposures, f5.0, iso100, taken with a Canon G10, couldn't get the aperture any smaller. Limited by the 15s on the camera.

    Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

for a compact camera, i must say it's quite good already.

that white spot could be rain spot or some stain on your lens.

Oh, I thought it was an exposure problem... Now that you mention it. I once had a leech climb on to the front of my lens! I had a hard time dislodging it. I've dumped my G10 already. It died on me WHILE I was on a holiday!
