Default Stuff Magazine Fashion Show

Courtesy of a fellow clubsnapper who posted the Stuff's party info, I got an invite. Below are some pics (pardon the strong flash effect, it's pretty dark in the pub):

It's hard work for the models cos they need to carry all sorts of gadgets around.

I dunno if it's the make-up or the flash or the alcohol, but the red cheeks and ard the eye area make them look like skulls.

the red cheeks are definitely due to the make-up but don't think they look like skulls lah.

Ok. Means the makeup artist is a newbie. They all look so ugly with the red cheeks.

camera and flash gun are very warm depleted the batteries I think for the flash.

I tested the buffer of the 20D during the show and shot a sequence of 87 images at 5fps (ISO800, Large Jpeg normal compression) continuously without any slowdown. Could have gone for more but decided to spare the models

My processing mght have enhanced the "redness" too. if I remember correctly, the lighting was rather yellowish, so the models look ok during the show. My pics were taken with flash which overpowered the ambient lighting.

it passed the test well I think there's some protection built in with the CP-E3/CP-E2. But for the sequence I mentioned, the flash did fire for every shot. Was pretty close to the models too, so the flash output isn't huge per shot.

You guys never learn from my experience.

Got protection. Mpenza, next time you MUST try shooting at 500mm without flash extender at f8.0.

I was just testing the continuous mode also, shooting at iso 800, f5.6, and just 2-3m from the models don't require too much flash power (around 1/6-1/10 of full flash output). definitely won't do it often

Thanks Agnes didn't join in the party though. Think she left after doing the show. There're other models there partying though.

Nice pics MPENZA...but based upon the models facial expressions , I am glad I missed it. Looks like they are not so happy about the stuff! Materialism gone bad!
