Default CF Corrupted on S2Pro

Anyone experience this before.

Took about 11 pics on my S2Pro on a 2GB CF card (Lexar) and last count 800, the my S2Pro battery level were low and suddenly, my CF card last counter jump down to 790, lost 10 pics and when I tried preview it says no pic.

I have to recover it from Image Recovery software.

Anyone encounter this with low batt problem on S2. The batt indicator is not informative enuff to tell u low batt.

Rgds

that's the problem with using CF cards on S2( or maybe ur set has problems with 2GB cards). i've no problem with it since i converted to using IBM 1GB microdrive(type 2).

S2 has some issues with CF card, not forgetting my lexar 1gb 40X totally failed to register with my S2 all of a sudden, resulting in my exchanging of the lexar to a ibm microdrive(maybe my set has issues with them!).

besides, using the ibm 1gb microdrive allows me to take 80 RAW images whereas using the lexar 1gb 40X only allows 77 RAW images. i wonder y?

as for the writing speed, i can't really say tat the S2 writes any faster with the lexar 1gb 40X then on the ibm 1gb microdrive. i really can't tell the difference?(they arent that fast anyway! hehe)

now, i'm happily using microdrives on my S2 with no problems as of yet.

Maybe it is the 2GB CF. I have had no prob with 1GB Microdrive and 256MB CF as well.
In terms of speed, I find that starting up with card initialise is faster on 2GB 80X than on MD. Other than that, about same.
