Help With Photoshop Actions

hi,

need some help on using photoshop actions. after fiddling around, i managed to find out how to record and play actions.

but is there any way i can record an action so that it'll prompt me when i wanna insert different values or rename each file?

for eg.
these are what i wanna do :
1.resize
2.save as
3.resize again
4.save as again

steps 2 and 4 i wanna save as 2 different file names. i recorded this action once. but when i ran it, it renames my other pics to the filename that i recorded. is there any way to get round this?

also, another question, what do u guys mean when u say batch process?

hope u photoshop gurus can help!

Just click on the small box beside the layers which you want to be stop and prompt for actions..
