bought this from Song Brothers at the Sitex for $430.

later discovered it's selling for $385 at Sim Lim Sq.

So don't buy from exhibitions if you can help it.

some info about this storage device. uses the 1.8" harddisk from Hitachi. think this is one of the smallest 20Gb storage for backing up CF, MS, SD etc. smaller than ipod mini.

runs on internal lithium rechargeable. AC charger provided. charges via USB when connect to PC for download also. functions as a card reader when connected to PC. Speedy USB 2.0 interface. fully charged battery lasts about 3-4Gb of transfer.

multicolour LED tells you status of transfer, battery life etc. the display has blue backlighting, and a log of the 5 most recent transfers, whether successful (shows number of folders and files transferred) or aborted copy (could be due to battery run out).

build quality is good, no creaky or loose parts. seems to inspire more confidence for me than the compactdrive, which is also much bigger.

    anybody else using this?
