D70-Which shop with best deal

Allan Photo is doing the standard D70 package (inclusive of a nikon 18-70mm lense), without CF card for $1700.

Yep... price is around there, I last heard CP is also offering the same.

TK Foto I've no idea, I don't know what freegifts or anything else these shops will throw in.

Got it. Looks like I need the kit. I don't have any nikon lenses.

Currently I am on a Canon AE-1 Program with some russian M42 mount lenses that I am very happy with. Hope I can still use it with the D70.

No CF card.

cos normally the price I get quoted from these shop is normally w/o GST and payment is by cash or nets. Payment by credit card will normally add another 3%.
So if $1700 already include GST and can pay by credit card, then it is really a good price.

CATHAY... look for jason down there. 2k will get u the lens kit plus loads of other accessories. i got mine there. good package lar. service. price. packages.

D70 price has dropped from 2200+ to the current of 1700 in a span of months! But i believe the price will drop further when new model/s come out next yr. So i am still considering whether to buy one now. If I wait for new model and buy one, then I will be a guinea pig as there will be hardware and software problems (as of all new electronics products).

Aiyah, there will always be newer and better and then the old models will drop in price. Like that may end up waiting toooooo long. Just take a deep breath and plunge right in!!
