My first shots with the C700UZ - a glimpse of my neighbourhood's architecture:

And a couple of shots taken at the newly-opened supermarket, TGIO! (Thank God it's open, said my mum, who promptly visited it 4 times on the day it opened for biz.)

Blk 109x, what about you?

Yeah those full-length windows are nice, but right now with lotsa construction going on, they get a bit too dusty for anybody's liking...

I really really hope the MRT/LRT gets up soon. Travelling is a real pain, my whole family literally depends on my dad to ferry us. Buses are a nightmare....45 mins to AMK, not even talking about town....

It's still pretty ulu. The most "bustling" area would be Blk 199, where the Econ minimart, coffeeshop, clinic, Kimage hairdressing and bookshop, etc is. That has been open for quite some time liow. And then there's the Prime Supermart which recently opened for biz. That's all loh. Dun even have ATM machine...:P....

I will be moving to Blk 176 in these few weeks (which is a rented flat for temporary staying) until end of the year when Blk 166 is ready

dunno why my block build so much slower than others...probably this is the first batch of flat that uses a design similar (some said even better) than condo.

what i worry most is transportation...the only bus that go to my place is Bus 82 or 83, i also worry that SCV is not ready at my block

- Those are HDB flats.

- Right next to Sengkang (separated by only an expressway (like Ang mo kio is next to Bishan)

- No facilities yet (only gardens, park areas) but there will be in the future when it's a full-fledged town. Supposed to be a model town, as promised by the govt, complete with seaside entertainment at Punggol end....but goodness knows when these will materialise lah...

Sea view...hopefully my room can see the sea

LRT is almost completed now...but my block quite ulu...notice that there some pple staying at the opposite bank of the river? there are some interesting building there too...i tried to get to the opposite bank but failed

After more than a year...my block still under construction...the progress is the slowest among all the other blocks

Of course I don't mind, post, post!

Actually I've noticed that construction progress (excluding LRT works) has slowed to a crawl since a few months ago, dunno why. Maybe because supply has outstripped demand, so they dunwan to build too fast and over-increase the supply again?

Me too staying at SengKang since 2 years ago. Understand all the inconvenience that the residents faced. What to do? for a new town to develop is not an over night thing. Sometimes you need to bear with the noisy jet plane zooming as late as 9pm!!!

Can't imagine with so many schools around but not a single theatre for leisure or wet market for the residents???

Guess got to stop here else the list will go on and on .........
