Default Freeware to check Exif and Shutter Count!

I always wonder what's the shutter count of my cam... stopping short of bringing it down to nikon service centre, guess the prob is now solved using this freeware.

go to www.opanda.com and download the iexif..
after you installed it you can just open the latest photo u've taken with your camera...

scroll down to the very end..

u can see the number of shutters have been taken with your camera.. bingo

Njoy it!!

i think it has to be unprocessed photos, straight from the cam.. all my photos that have been PSed the shutter info gone already.

try again using one of your unprocessed shot

I check with Fuji S2 and Olympus C5050 Jpeg files, can't find the shutter count part. Is some cams not supported?

Tried with a picture taken with a G3... can't find the shutter count either.... but there's a Image File number.. not sure if it's the same... but if it is.. that means 2 million pics were shot......

using a JPG shot from a D100, the last few entries are:

Hue Saturation
Noise REduction
0097
0098
009A

after that bo liao. dont have "shutter count" entry.

if it's Image Number, mine would have hit another world record: 3686801!

That shutter count value is in the Maker Notes section of the EXIF for Nikon - it won't appear for other camera brands - and it seems only for Nikon Maker Notes version 2.10 onwards.

It works for my D2h ... registered one of my photos as 13365 but my file name was DSC_3020 after one round of 10K. That is to say the d2h has been tested for 345 shutter release before I brought. It was quite near there as I tested a few times testing the buffer prior to set it running in sequence ...

Another good software for testing shutter count ...

Try on photos taken by D100 seem like it didnt work ...

Thanks for sharing ..
