wonder which camera would be the winner next year since there're more DSLRs in the scene. maybe it's a prosumer digicam with the performance of a SLR

Not surprising. Add bigger buffer, drop in bigger sized sensor should make it possible.

with a bigger hand grip, hotshoes, and erm.... lets see... wad was i abt to say..... ahh yess.. interchangeable lens... hahaha

A prosumer compact digital camera with interchangable lenses, large sensor and lets you look directly though the lens sounds good :P

i think with this Dee Seventy, lots of new people are first time SLR owners! it attracts many to photography. hee

the other (known) DSLRs launching next year seem to be the higher end ones. so not so likely to have the mass market reach and impact as the D70 did this year. and i wonder if the sales and interest in the cam will taper off as the model will be a year old...
