Nikon DSLR with Manual Focus Lenses

Just like to get some feedback from the Nikon DSLR users out there.

I have set of M42 mount russian lenses that I am really fond of and think of going into the DSLR arena. Would I be able to retain my russian lenses to use on the say, Nikon D70 or D100, using a converter? Any problems such as focusing issues or unable to handle focusing at infinity?
