Lightbulb D100 users - spot metering

looking at the manual on pg.10 showing the viewfinder display, there are five spot metering targets denoted by '2'. which one to use? or there are more than one to use? if so, which one has the greatest weightage? can invalidate the rest if user has chosen one specific target to use?

Please refer to page 75, third row of the gray table, you may find the answer here.

The camera meters a circle 3mm(0.12”) in diameter centered on the current focus area and occupying approximately two percent of the frame. When closest subject priority (see P67) is in effect, the center focus area will be used. Otherwise metering is linked to the selected focus area, allowing you to meter off-center subjects.

This is copy from the page 75, third row of the gray table, are you holding a different version of D100 manual?

Spot metering of course you can only metering only one spot, in D100 when you using spot metering mode, you are metering the selected spot, which is highlighted in the view finder and the control panel.

The spot meter is your current AF point.

to check my understanding, if i choose single area AF, then the spot metering target is the one smacked in the centre of the viewfinder.

if i choose dynamic area AF, the spot metering targets will be all five of them in the viewfinder. right?

when i switch between single area AF and Dynamic AF, the highlighted 'block' is the same ie. the topmost one in the centre(vertical) row when camera is held horizontally. should it be the same?
