what 300mm lens to get?

hi,

i read on a different forum that a guy got his 300mm sigma lens for $300+ for his D70....

i am also very keen to get one of this range for my D70 since my budget is also around $300+....

just like to ask:

is sigma or tokina better for this 300mm range lens for my budget of $300+ ?
(sorry i dun know other specifications of the lens other than it is a 300mm sigma from the other forum)

is 200mm sufficient? cause i was thinking 300mm might be too heavy liao....

which type of 300mm lens ?? since u are talking about a $300++ range, i think its the Sigma APO II ah ?? the zoom about 70-300mm ?? that one i think is about $370 if i am not wrong, i was quoted this price about 3mths ago....

its a zoom lens la.. dun scare me.. i was thinking hw can a 300mm lens cost $300+ u know...

Me aso want to get a 300mm...now consider Nikon 300 F4..what is the price range? Can get locally? Or from B&H? may oso consider the 3rd party len..May expert kindly advise. Thanks.

so how does the sigma zoom compare to like say tokina zoom to about 300mm?

or how about the nikon 300 F4 that Minlon mentioned?

anyone care to give an extimate of the price for these 3 zoom lens ?
