I am thinking of doing a self drive motorhome holiday in Canada/States coming Sept / Oct.

However I only have a Class 3 License and alot of the 2 berth ones I saw already easily exceeded the 3000kg limit.
( I am also slightly slanted towards getting a slightly more spacious model for comfort )

Did you guys really have to take the Class 4 License ?

    Much thanks

    Hi Bro,

I have actually driven on a few occasions, a Motorhome in Perth (Western Australia).

And would to share my experience.

If you are travelling in a group say 4-6 people...this would be an excellent mode of transport..bcos yr passengers need not be

    seated throughout the journey.

But if you are travelling as a couple...this heavy vehicle may be slow and parking in urbanised areas may prove to be challenging.

A Motorhome may also be a petrol (or diesel) guzzler.

But whatever your choice may be...be it a Motorhome..Campervan.. Caravan..remember to take tonnes of photos / videos and share it

    with us at Clubsnap.

    Cheers to your holiday..in advance

Thanks for ur input! My campervan holiday will not be this yr, probably a yr or two later. ( I am now holidaying in Norway!, got a wagon for self drive ) I'd probably visit western Canada or Alaska with a self drive campervan holiday. The main attractive point is the flexibility.

Both. Europe - usually manual. USA, Canada usually auto.
