Hi,
I was thinking of buying 2nd Nikon F100, how to check whether the camera is good condition? Which shop was can be trust? BTW, how much does the Nikon Service Centre charge to do a servicing for a camera? Pls help. Thanks & Rgds Sky ![]() |

check the
1. cosmetics 2. shutter speed 3. mirror 4. electronics eg the modes should work as they are supposed to 5. battery 6.AF responsiveness 7.mount a lens and a flash and see if all 3 can communicate 8.metering 9..ie a lot to check ![]() |

It depends on what type of camera u are planning to buy.
For SLR, there're more to check. Maybe u can state the type of camera u are looking for. Then we can start from there. To note; U can't probably can't check 100% & discover any faults in an hour or so of testing. Some intermittent problems surfaces after a days or even months. That's the risk u have to bear for buying a 2nd hand items. |

Nikon Svc Ctr charges 80(w/GST) for general servicing and parts are not inclusive.
It would to be prudent to ask from the 2nd hand shop whether is there any guarantee from them. |
