Thread: HDR Processing

    Default HDR Processing

It seems to me that after HDR processing, there is obviously more noise in photo, blurred photo and lower resolution.
    Is this considered normal?

Note: I use 3 as well as 5 photos to merge into HDR to try the diferences. All taken with tripod and stabiliser set to off. Photomatix used, but is quite old version (and often hangs).

Usually I apply noise reduction after all the tonemapping and overlaying are done. NR will be the next-to-last step to the final product.

Does yours produce a blurred and lower res photo?

Thanks. This was a Hail Mary attempt to salvage this image, and I think the HDR result wasn't that bad. I was [unfortunately] shooting at this place at noon; I would have loved to shoot later at dusk, but I was someplace else.
