Default I am new to Dslr and i need some help on some questions

Does anyone recognized the box for this lens as per told to me by the salesman

brief description, i dont know what its call or is it a Lens or a filter or what you all call it as i said i am quite new to dslr camera

was shopping look at camera stuff out of no way the sales man show me this

its something that you screw on to your kit Lens which mine happen to be the normal 18mm-55mm
the first picture is with out the attachment and the second is with the attachment

the colour improve as well as the angle became wider the attached "wide angle lens" look like 2 magnifying glass attached to each other

the best part is the sale man told me that the price is $1600 for some no know what Eos eagle eye thing and after revising the price again and again from 800 to 400 to 200

may i ask is it worth it to buy this thing ??? and what is it name "term for it" so that can do some goggling before i consider

sorry i cant type and express myself well but hopefully you all understand

From what you say, it's sounds like a wide angle/macro converter. These converters are a total waste of money and not worth buying. Actual prices are usually $60 or lower.

    you just got

ask yourself... if you're buying a new car, and the salesman revised the price so many times till it's dirt cheap, won't you feel like there's something wrong?

TS... have you bought that converter? If not... keep far far far away from it... this type of stuff are nothing but junks and ugly paper weigh.

If you want wide angle... get a wide angle lens, if you want macro, get a closeup filter, extension tubes, or a dedicated macro lens.

Btw... from ebay... this type of wide angle converter cost less than S$100... many of it cost less than S$50...

    You have been conned.

Never let a salesman push you something that you are totally unsure about even though you wanted to buy another thing. I have my fair share of such miseries

I don't think TS bot it yet cos he mentioned he is considering. But even if he did, I think the friendly salesman's last offer was $200

Stay far away from this crap. And stay far away from the sellers that peddle it.

When I see large adjectives to describe the product on the box ("Professional", "Genuine", "Healthy"), so much bigger than the name, description or brand, I automatically wonder what that huge word is trying to hide!

The $200 save it to buy the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 in B&S. You get much more mileage with this beginner's lens.
