Default Need advice on strobe lighting kit

looking for a strobe kit to convert my spare room into a small studio. Anyone can recommend a particular brand, or perhaps a shop to buy from other than cathay photo....?

If you want them to last n last n last. Also hasser free service in term of repair then Bowen is way to go. Alot of accessories. They are the most lighting system professional use and they are not that expensive like bron color or elinchrom. Of course there are cheaper options but those are have limit in what they can do. Even small horse shoe mount flash can beat those cheaper option in term of power. Bowen can get from Rudy Photo in peninsula hotel.

thanx singscott, i already went down to ruby and pretty glad that its all within budget, all in all, could get a pretty sufficient setup under 4k. better than the quote i got from some other places and yes the system looks good.
There were many choices over internet too but i guess warranty and uncertainty is also an issue. Thanks again.

I got it from SLCC Stanley Lim Colour Center, contact him at 96383643 he will tell you what to buy, very nice guy! I also pick up studio course from him too.

Are you sure you want big stobes? You can do a lot with your small flashes these days. I am a photojournalist, and I cannot remember the last time I dragged out my big lights.

maybe you can try east East mini studio the Last time i went there the Demo set not working
