More Band Gigs for photographers @ Youth Park

Friends, Relatives and Lovers, Photographers

Greetings, again!

After a good show at “The Third Place” in October, The Jerms are playing the next show at YOUTH PARK (diagonally behind Orchard Cineleisure), this coming Saturday, 4 DEC, 8pm.

This is an event called [ORCHARD JAM] lasting over 3 weekends from 26 Nov – 12 Dec.

The action takes place at 2 locations:

(1) Acoustic sets at sidewalk cafes outside Wisma Atria, &

(2) Full band-jam at YOUTH PARK

Every Fri, Sat, Sun of the 3 weekends. Free!

Other great bands playing include Parousia (28 Nov, Sun, 6pm, Wisma Atria), Electrico (3 Dec, Fri, 9pm, Youth Park), Ugly In the Morning (11 Dec, Sat, 8pm, Youth Park). You may wanna check out their websites and they all have CD recently released. Electrico is currently nominated in MTV Asia awards, and you could have heard their songs on the radio waves; Or seen their video “Runaway” on MTV!

The Jerms Update:

As for us, our CD is currently 70% done, and this labour of love should be finished by early 2005.

We already have a gig upcoming in MARCH 2005 at the Esplanade, more details about that soon.

Our “Disco” single has been well-received and we’ll be giving out more copies at the gig this Saturday!

Keep supporting the local music scene; Since the good old days of The Quest in the 60s, the rocking indie bands like The Padres and Concave Scream in the 90s, the 3rd wave of English bands are catching on. Hop onto the bandwagon!

All the best for your gig, Jerms. Loved the Padres, and have heard Electrico before, quite a good band. Was trying to form a band in the late 90s, but never got around to getting anywhere

wow! i am surprised that there are so many of you who's been supporting the local scene for some time! COOL!!! My fav bands are The Padres, and Humpback Oak. Excellent sial. I also have a 4 disc anniversary compilation of The Quests... excellent guitar riffs!

I hope singapore will continue to support the scene even after the idol fever has subsided... TAUFIK ROCKS sial!!! steady lah, brudder!
