Default Buskers again - slow shutter/strobe flash experiment

Experimenting with slow shutter, rear sync flash and strobe flash effects at the buskers festival...still needs lots of improvements. Comments appreciated

1. Intense concentration

2. Playing with Fire

3. 6-handed dancer

I think the 2nd pic will look better without flash. Either that or you colour temperature balance your flash and use a real orangey gel and just fill-in a bit.

Yep! First time trying the "RPT flash mode" on my sb-800. The one and only shot...until the batt on my flash went dead and I had to use the built-in flash

Thanks for the suggestion, 2100. You're right...the flash cast those huge, distracting shadows at the wall behind. But I can't seem to get the guy in focus without a rear sync...he's moving too fast. Your yellow-gel idea may work. Will try it next time!

Wow lucky you haha. Nice pictures you got there Actually.. I prefer the flash on.. but not so strong.. Having shadows added a dimension of depth and 3D.
