    Tamron 180mm DI Macro ?
You can try Tamron 90mm SP DI Macro if you don't need the longer range and your budget is limited.

    Macro
    - 100mm macro
    - A70 + reversed 35mm f2

Depends on situation, but usually one of these combinations:

    50mm 1.8 + close-up filters

    50mm 1.8 + extension tubes

    105mm 2.8

    105mm 2.8 + extension tubes

    105mm 2.8 + reverse mounted 50mm 1.8

The last one's for extreme macro shots

    For me:

    Pentax 100mm f2.8 macro
    Pentax 100mm f2.8 macro + 25mm extension tube (real MACRO shots )
    Sigma 70-300mm APO Super Macro

Canon 100/2.8 usm macro, and often the 25mm ext tube. Wonderfully sharp and contrasty lens, does not extend while focusing, convenient to use with the extension tube.

Bellows + a 50mm Marco lens or 100mm Marco Lens or Enlarger Lens or which ever lens I can get my hands on that is under 135mm .......

Does anyone need more than just the 25mm extension tube? I mean normally comes in a set of 3, so do u guys often need to stack them up or use the other 2 tubes?
    Dreaming... 14mm f2.8, 16-35 f2.8 mkII, 85 f1.2 mkII

Still with the topic of Macro/Close-up. Any such Lens that are compatible with Olympus C-8080?

C-8080 has Macro and Super macro mode...but somehow it doesn't produce that really close-up and 'magnified' picture.

    For me:

    70-200 VR + 500D or 25mm tube or 1.7x TC.

Sometimes mix in order to get more mag.

A tele-zoom lens which can reach 1:1 ???? Don't have such thing ..... Nikon has one that is nearly 1:1 .... but still not yet 1:1

Anyway, put it this way, Tamron 90mm DI Macro lens has very much better optics quality then the Sigma 70-300 APO Super Macro......

Which extension tube are you using? I understand the kenko uniplus does not work with AFS lenses....

Using uniplus 25mm extension tube. It works with the 70-200 AFS VR. See my amatuerish macro gallery.
