Planning to go Batam : Need advice?
I'm planning to go Batam to find a floor tile. Anyone with experience care to share any advice? I've heard that taking the public transport might be unsafe i.e. might meet with thugs or something. Any help/tips will be appreciated.

Just been there last weekend
No prob with me, as I speak the same language. hehe.
Take cabs and avoid travelling at some unsafe places at unusual timings.
For more info try http://www.bataminfo.com/
PS: cab fare must haggle, else u got cheated
try haggling around 5k-15k difference from what they offer
btw, prepare some rupiahs, dun flash around valuables or ur dollars. else u got cheated...hehe

Cabbies rarely speak english.
You can buy your floor tiles beside Lippo Bank in Nagoya.
Message me if you still need info.
