I was asked by Lordvader to post this up for him and at the same time edit his picture a little. Comments would be nice to see if the picture could have been improved color wise.
Edited to make it look warmer. ![]() Org picture. |

Hi Misato,
I think your version brings out the shadow details in the buildings, however, there is too much yellow on the lower half for my taste. This might be the effect you are trying to achieve, so please just take my comment as just a comment. I also feel that the blown-out areas in the clouds look unnatural. Here's my version, modified from the original: I maintained a neutral grey in the clouds as well as in the buildings, making it almose a B&W shot except that I brought out a little more of the blue in the sky. There is also more shadow detail on the land area. All these are acheived by playing with the curves. Finally, I used USM to bring out the details a little bit more. Please let me know what do you think of my version. Since I am not at the scene when the picture is taken, I am just presenting my interpretation of the picture instead of trying to get accurate colours that represents the actual scene. Hope my interpretation still sppears realistic to you. Thanks! Roy

Hi guys,
I was walking aross Brisbane River when I took the Pic. The Sun was behind clouds.. and it was really overcast. Very little Sunlight was penertrating but I do see lots of RAYS of sunlight penetrating the clouds.. I tot that was beautiful... Then I tot of capturing the surrounding with the RAYS of Sunlight shinning thru. Had to send it to Misato my good bud to edit it as I'm not as good an editor as he is ![]() Regards LordVader |
