generally Portraits and Poses in CS have been over-run by members thinking P&P stands for Praises & Positive comments.

anyone who gives an opinion or critique gets shot down.

so no one dares to do it anymore.

just like in china, after that guy got sued for helping an old lady who fell down, not one wants to help people in need anymore

Just have to wait for the next cycle of evolution. Be it that our budding portrait/fashion photographers improve their skills collectively or those commenting to learn how to critique effectively. Look how long it took for Critique Corner to thrive. As for comparing there used to be more life, one can also claim how the availability of technology previously reserved for only professional photographers (photoshop, strobe/flash, FF cameras) has risen everyone's capability in making photos. However we still need time to refine our art, how long it takes is anyone's guess.

good that you learned alot from that sub-forum gallery ..... perhaps its time to contribute/give back ?

as individuals we also evolve (God knows I do) and grow over time ...... give serious consideration to contributing to its growth as newcomers do come into the forum all the time to learn as we have all done when we first started out ourselves

There is nothing much really that admins and mods can do to bring life into any sub-forum ..... yes we do put up different activities and events through the year but mostly, we try our best to keep the peace overall whilst its up to the community's (CS'ers) own actions, activities and contributions from CS'ers that determines the pulse of the forum

Have a good holiday weekend ahead everyone
