    Default Recommend Me A Bag...

I need a should sling bag or small back pack for travel use.
Not too big or too small. Need to put my Ipad & Nikon D300s or D3100 with 18-200 lens and a SB400 flash.
    Any advise? Thanks.

I use a modified LowePro Exchange Messenger. Here are what I put into it...

    Sony Alpha A850 with 24-70mm f/2.8
    Sony HVL-20AM Flash
    Compact Camera
    iPad in a padded case
IR remote, spare battery, additional CF cards and other small stuffs

I sometimes bring the bag out with a 24-70mm f/2.8 attached and a 70-200mm f/2.8 w/o hood and the small flash..!!

This bag is super versatile... but you'll need to modd it be this versatile. I remove the threads that divides the front compartments and replace the seam with a velcro PSA tape that u can buy from Home-Fix. Ensure you buy the correct tape cos not all PSA tapes will stick to fabric.

You might want to take a look at the Think Tank Retrospective 10.

U might want to go to more popular brands' website and look at photos of bags instead. Such as lowepro think tank etc.

Or use search function to find similar threads.

I have just bought a Lowepro flipside 200 for my travel as well. It can fit in my D3100 with sigma 30mm, my kit lens and the 55-200 mm lens with a Sb400 flash and still got a space for another lens. I tried and can put the passport in the pouch with zip and can place the iPad on the top of the compartment before closing the backpack. FYI my iPad only uses back cover. The reason I choose this bag is that I can have peace of mind without people pickpocketing me.

Orkio bags? It was reviewed some months ago here in Clubsnap. I saw the Orkio Wave bag myself few months ago and really like it, too bad it was too small for my 13 inch laptop. They are distributed by Digihub in SG, so can have a look in Digihub website.

Take a look at the Retro 10 as suggested. I put my iPad at the front compartment, gripped 600D with 24-105 attached, 17-40 and the 50 1.8. Still room for a flash at the side and a small umbrella or water bottle. It doesn't look like any laptop or camera bag from outside, which is nice when you travelling in foreign country.

+1. Also recommend the flipside 200 if not big enough still got 300 and 400AW. Also i just bought it overseas for photography and the front access also useful for changing lens which for my case took around 20-30s. If you account zipping the bag and wearing it then it would probably be around 40s. But i bet that not much backpacks/slingpacks would allow you to change lens that easily. If not since you are only using 18-200 maybe you can look at the fastpack 250. Comes with laptop compartment. Would recommend 2 shoulder straps for support vs slingbag if you intend to use for long periods.

People can recommend but ultimately you have to decide on yourself which bag is the best. I feel that all bags recommended are good depending on your needs. Maybe you can provide more information about which factors are important for your usage. Like maybe speed of access of gear, changing of lens, what other stuffs you want to put in your bag besides your laptop and your camera gear. Maybe you can look at this website to better find out what you want after narrowing down your choice which contains a good amount of user reviews on different bags and pictures to show how the interior of bag looks like and an idea of what you can put inside.
