What do you mean by producing crappy pictures? Under expose or over expose? I'm not a pro but I do own a instant mini 7s too and photo taking seems fine for me

    Hi and welcome to CS...

about the crappy photos, you may want to read up more on the basic photography articles floating around in the net. Reading those articles takes days or even weeks/months, trying them out takes some years, some spend a lifetime trying to master it

i just bought a polaroid as well. welcome~~

    points to take note.

unlike compact cameras and other cameras where you can change to zoom lenses, polaroids from Fujifilm are fixed-focal-length lens cameras.

you move in and out with your feet to get the desired framing of the person/object you're shooting.

therefore, work on your composition skills of the image.
