If you look at his profile, he must be using 20D

Thanks, using a 20D. No tripod was used - I find it rather inconvenient for a motor show.

Mostly using aperture priority mode @ f2.8, ISO400. Shutter speeds were around 1/125s. 420ex (direct flash) was used to fill in the shadows.

Default Pics on DPReview

Hey...imaginary_number...why did you post these pics on DPReview ? You'll just get flamed there. If you gotta post there, put'em in the Samples and Galleries Forum... not the 20D Forum.

Yeah... I just realized that... LOL. Anyway, I'm ok with the flaming; at least it seems that the majority of the ppl there appreciate my sharing, so I'm not really bothered by the minority.

Oh, thanks for the tip, I posted at that forum 'coz I've seen many others who did that, so I thought it was alright.

Yes, you're right that direct flash might be too harsh; but in this case, I was just filling in the shadows, so I reduced the flash power where necessary.

As for the noise at ISO400, it's practically non-existant on the 20D (and most DSLRs). Besides, when an image is downsized, the noise will be relatively insignificant.

Realized that I've exceeded my photobucket bandwidth... see the first thread for a link instead if you're unable to view the images.
