Thread: Anyone knows about this lens?

    huh... isit? actually i tot most SLR got somesort of socket one. like canon got wat EF then pentax got P socket or smthing. U mean the slr lens are also screw-in ones?
    so actually i (who own a A75 with a 52mm adapter) buy a 52 convert to 58 ring, i can actually fit in some of those pro slr lens?

    Sounds fun.
    help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stop me from buyin those lens please please......

    PS : i actually thought that those SLR lens, thread, is only at the opposite end (which faces the object to capture)

    Yes, the thread size is only at the opposite end of the lens. But in this thread, you are talking abt reversing the lens to shoot macro, isn't it ?

    YUP correct.

    hmm... so any prime lens can invert to shoot macro? or we need smthing with less than 50mm focal length?

    he reversed the ef lens because originally the ef lens was optically optimized for normal shooting distances when using it on a SLR or dSLR but when u reversed it, you get a better macro focus, at the same time without the edge softness. reversed lens is best for photographing flat subjects e.g: photos.
