Hi Guys,
would like to inform all that Oyama laminating films are now available in the Singapore. ![]() Brand Profile: Oyama specializes in various type of adhesive tapes both for industrial and home usages. Its product line ranges from laminating films, adhesive inkjet medias to hook & loop tapes. Oyama is widely used by advertising, printing & events companies in the South Asia region. Photo Laminating Film: Laminating films has been used exclusively by professional studios to protect the photos and give them a different texture/look. For the past few years, there has been signs of demands for laminating films by end-users. To cater to that market, Oyama recently launched the photo laminating films. The laminating films come in 3 types: (1) Gloss (2) Matt (3) Textured The laminating films has been pre-cutted and packed for ease of use for end-users. (1) 120mm x 172 mm -> 4R (2) 240mm x 340 mm -> S8R Why Laminate?: (1) Protect surface of photo - How many times has your glossy prints been ruined by finger prints? Laminates will protect the original photo from finger prints & water. (2) Different surface texture - You can achieve the same textured surface for your portfolios or assignments. Or you can have a gloss surface from a matte print (or vice versa). (3) Prolong the life of your photo - laminating a picture protects the surface from the oxidants in the air. It also minimise contact with the pollutants. Therefore, it will slow down the fading process and lengthen the live-span of the photo. Ease of use: Oyama cold laminating films are easy to use. All you need is a scrapper / hard card board to slowly apply the film onto the photo. *use a cold laminating machine for best effect. Price: We only have small quantities at the moment. If response is good, we will bring in in larger quantities. Gloss S8R - S$13.20 Matte 4R - S3.00 S8R - S$12.00 Textured 4R - S3.60 S8R - S$14.40 *all prices quoted are for packs of 10s. Locations: Oyama cold laminating films can be bought at the following locations: (1) Cathay Photo Shop #01-05 Peninsular Plaza (2) Kim Tian Colour Center Blk 531 #01-06 Peninsular Plaza (3) Vispro #B1-35 Sim Lim Tower *NewAge Enterprise is the official distributor for Oyama laminating films. Hi guys,
thanks for the interest ![]() Let me answer your questions: (1) Larger size -> How big do you need? We do not have pre-cut sizes larger than S8R at the moment. But we are looking into catering to customers who require customized sizes. (2) Cold Laminating machine -> we also carry simple 2 rollers laminating machines. Unfortunately, our 12" & 14" machines are out of stock. What we have left are 25" & larger machines. If demand permits, we will air freight the smaller sizes into Singapore. A 14", 2 roller, manual machine would cost in the range of S$180. Our cold laminating machines are simple but the rollers are of good quality coz a good roller determines the quality of the output. We are in the process of bringing in a new batch of affordable 12" laminating machines. ETA is mid ~ end december. (3) 3 roller laminating machine -> unfortunately we do not carry 3 rollers laminating machines. All out laminating machines are 2 rollers. With my limited experience, 3 rollers are definately more expensive and it is not required for lamination of photos. Hope this helps answer some of your questions ![]() |

am just wondering, if the sizes are precut, woudl that mean that one has to be very accurate when placing the film onto the photo? or is there allowance (how big?) provided? I'm assuming that its easier to have a bigger sheet to stick on and then cut to size later than to try align an exact fit sheet.

(1) We are looking at a minimum order of 10 sets. As air freight is extremely costly, we are currently looking for alternatively transportation methods so as to provide best value for our customers(our containers only arrived recently). I am unable to give a definate quote but if you are interested, you can drop me a PM and we will keep you informed of the latest update
![]() (2) The precut sizes are much larger than the photo sizes. e.g. A S8R is 8" x 12" and my laminating film is approx. 9.5" x 13.5". There is more than enough space for error. Not to worry, I am a photographer myself thus I understand some of the concerns ![]() |

looks like you manage to get a hold of my catalogue ![]() Yes, it is the BU-360. But I am facing a shortage of the smaller sizes machine. I only have the larger sizes (>51") left in my warehouse. Nevertheless, I will try to confirm the prices for the benefit of everyone. |

They were shipped in thus the cost would be higher if similar stocks are flown in. Currently my stocks are running extremely low. Drop me a PM if you are interested. |

Dear all,
Unfortunately, we are unable to bring in any 12" laminating machines as the line has already stopped. But we still can fly in the 14" laminating machines. The costs for the 14" are: BU-360 (manual) S$199 w/gst BU-360C (automatic) S$250 w/gst * these prices are based on bulk order (min. 20 sets all together) Kindly PM me if you are interested. Cheers! |

I have been asked the pros & cons between the Automatic & Manual machines.
Automatic: Pros: - Easier to use - no pressure lines Cons: - more expensive - possible to motor failure Manual: Pros: - Cheaper Cons: - more difficult to use as size of laminating sheet gets bigger - possible pressure lines (if the laminate is of poor quality) Its really hard to advise which is better (A/M) for the 14". 14" is still small enough to use manually, but automatic would definately make one's life easier Pressure lines: Pressure lines are formed when you stop rolling mid-way while laminating the picture. What results is a 'line' across the picture. This is due to the poor quality of the laminates. Fortunately, Oyama laminates do not have the problem of pressure lines. Thus, users do not have to worry when using our laminates. |
