Default South Korea: Advice on equipments and places of interest

    Hi CSers,

I'll be travelling to S.Korea from 16th Dec till 24th Dec. Just for a quick question, do you guys think a tripod do much help?
Anyway the expected temperature will be about 2.5C and below, what are your equip list for such weather?
Any nice place that is a must-go for photographers?
I'll be around Seoul area, but willing to travel, Free and easy, not following any tours.

    Thanks!

Can't advise must on photography as I'm a noob, as for nice places to shoot, I guess it depends on what you like to shoot.

Just to name a few places:

    Palaces
    Bukchon Hanok Village
    Gwanghwamun Square
    Han River
    Nami Island

Guess you can get more information from Visit Seoul! The Official Guide to Everything Seoul in Korea

When i go for tour, definitely i will bring tripod, for below reason:
Only you know your camera well, when you ask people A,B,C to snap for you for example, it is hard to meet your expectation like angle, position....the only thing you might feel inconverniance....
