The camera setting can affect the battery life too. For example the 'Continuous AF' set to on, lcd brightness, O.I.S mode 1, etc....

How about pic quality? Comparing it to Nikon 5200 or any camera of the similar nature (compact, slim)?

I'm quite interested to buy it during this coming sitex. So far I've not heard any major negative remarks. But I've also not heard of any very positive remarks about this camera (except the stabilizer and 2.5" LCD).

Anyone else who has some honest (and detail) feedback on FX-7? Thanks!

feeling of it and the image quality is very decent.... i had compared it with my photos taken with D100 and i can't see the difference at low iso.

to me it's an ideal, value for money ultra compact camera. with the 2.5inch lcd, u'll feel the happiness during taking especially since u'll be using the lcd to compose the shots.

but battery life span is indeed a problem... the batt is gone just after a day of bringing it out to play. took abt 80 shots only with continous review. the side also heats up rapidly due to the battery. a 2nd battery is definitely needed.

Thanks for the detail feedback! Seems like I'll be most likely to buy this model during sitex! Hope the free gifts are good during the show. btw, how's the shutter lag? I'm using an old nikon 995, the startup time is long and there is a quite obvious shutter lag (due to the technology 3-4 years ago).

All FX-7 owners, please help to comment on the shutter lag. I've tried the start up timing (think in Harvy Norman), think it's quite fast (as stated in the specs). But I'm not too sure of the shutter lag. Hope it's not a disappointment.

BTW, any Nikon owners switching to Panasonic? Please help to give some comments too!

Many thanks!
