Talking The Shrine in the Garden

Hi,

Was in Suan Luang Park in the east of Bangkok. Came across this Thai shrine in the middle of a pond.

Post processing was done by Channel Mixer in Monotone and Curves and some dodge and burn in some areas.

Enjoy and comments are appreciated!

Thanks for your kind comments ParkertR!

Would like some comments about my B&W PSing too!

Comments are appreciated, this is the only good picture out of five before the sun went to bed. Had only five minutes of sun left then...

I like it. However I would prefer a little more details in the shadows. How about experimenting with various color filter in PS to see the different effects generated?

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your comments. Will take your advice next time PSing... I used a red layer with 25% opacity over the background then I converted it to B&W using the Channel Mixer layer. Would this work like a red filter for B&W film?

Oh ok...

Does anybody know if I take a picture from a DSLR, then on PS, I put a 25% Red layer above it and then change the picture to B&W using channel mixer and get a gain a contrast the same as putting a red filter over B&W film?

Witness: To use the Alpha Channels, I have to use the Channels Tab and edit from there?
