Is the price actually gone up? Think it's cheaper when they first release it!

Sorry, my info was recorded two months ago.

Default FZ3 in stock now?

When I was visiting Singapore a month ago there was no stock of FZ3's. Are they available now? Any at SLS?

Thanks!

Called MSColor ... FZ3 $720 (incl gst) come with 128MB and Case. Was told Sitex sells at $799. Haven't gone there yet. Am interested in FZ3 at $685 (incl gst). Can get?
Also want to sell FZ1v2. Any takers? I wish to buy cheap & sell high but...I guess its often the other way around. Drop me a note or better yet reply herewith. I'm pretty crab at naviguessing the Clubsnap screens. So if you fine my reply days later, that's pretty good 'cos I just replied an email that's dated in June ...hehehe

Borrowd this thread for a few queries, since it is titled "Lumix FZ3"

- anyone signed and paid up for the extended 2 years of warranty @ $165?
- what is the small thread for? which is wrapped together with the Lens Cap?
- is the OEM Battery $35 reasonable?
- what is the number of hrs for the 1st Virgin Charge?

Cheers

extended 2 years plus original 1 year would be 3 years of warranty!!!
Will consider when 1 year warranty going to end! Still got long way to go..... That's what we mean "extended".

Not sure of thread. FZ20 doesn't has it.

Bought my OEM battery $28 (AP) $29 (SB) - already consider ex. Some bought even cheaper!
After 1:50mins of virgin charge, led off. Would you leave it that way? For eight hours? I use it immediately. Can't stand my new long one la.............

I bought 680mAH and 1200mAH each. However, both performed the same. Lasted about 160 pics with EVF on and ocassional review on LCD. the auto review was set to on too. So each take, the lcd displays once for 2sec.

The original battery lasted about 270. Similar way of usage!

Check with others, might be different!

Original battery brand new very ex. Think it's three to four times OEM battery price. Check it out first.

I think the original battery last longer than OEM. I don't think the rated mAh on OEM battery is accurate.
The small thread with lense cap could be the holder. Tie the cap to camera body so you don't loss the camera ....... I mean don't loss the cap. cheers! ...FZ3 is fun!

i have a small query, if battery will to be left inside the camera, will the battery drain off faster?

This happened to my previous Canon IXUS V.

Cheers

It probably would since its charging an internal battery that keeps the clock running. However, "battery draining off faster" is just relative. It may not be as fast as you would expect. When you have to keep the Li-ion battery, always charge it up full before storage. For NiMH, always keep drain for storage. ...hope I got this right.
