the polarbear shot is the best of the lot... the rest are not sharp -- u went into digital zoom? they're very pale also... not enough saturation of colors

Can I checked if you used digital zoom on the tiger eyes shot? What was your settings? Thanks!

Yup! I used digital zoom for 2 of the shots 'cos subjects too far away. For tiger shot use 1.9x telecon on top of digital zoom. I think it was F2.8 1/30 (bad weather that day). Didn't bring tripod along (lazy). Shots resized, not edited.

This was my attempt (shot it before I saw yours)


Just to share what I did. This was done with the FZ10 alone at 12x, and tightly cropped to frame the face. For me, I do not think digital zooming does credit to the camera as it tends to degrade the picture. Just my 2c

Very true. Point noted. Can tell from pics 2 and 3.

BTW, do you use a tripod for most of your shots?

All my zoo shots were without tripod......broke my back carrying it! Brought it along incase of some interesting macro opportunity, but never came to using it....

Thanks man! I will disable the Digital Zoom on the FZ20, but the Fun Factor won't be the same anymore..... sigh.....
