Smile Hi megaweb

WoW And you were using an A70 Canon (+ Reversed EF35mm f2).
That definately puts a different look at what can be done with such a camera.
Quite impressive...

Sometimes insects are inactive after later afternoon ( after 1630 hrs ). Maybe tiring flying whole day and just wanna take a break

filter or SLR make no different in quality. Just tt reversed lens will give more magnification The background is nice becoz' I look out for bright green area for my object.

Thumbs up

This is not buy and sell so no need to UPzz.. ahhaah

I like your super DIY setup! 4cm working distance is definitely a good technical achievement.

I love the super shallow DOF and the bokeh. The pics will surely qualify for one of those science textbooks.

Maybe I wan to try this out for myself too!!

Oh man, that's really CLOSE Even closer than my 100mm plus a 2x extension tube If the DOF is a bit bigger, those shots would be killers to other expensive macro lenses for real MACRO shots.

BTW, where did you get those shots? SBG?
Thanks.

hi, just want to know, how u put extension tubes on digital cameras, cause i using a Nikon 5700, can an extension tube also be placed on that, till now i can only use closeup filters, and they don't reach the magnification u have.

Anyway, great shots. sure hope i can do that too.

You should not use ext. tube (which is a hollow tube) for closeup, you should use a prime lens (any brand) like 50mm f1.8 or 35mm f2 to reverse its. Reverse lens provide +20 diopters which will give very big magnification on your digital camera. To mount the lens to the digital camera, you need a macro reverse ring.
