Default Borders with photoshop

Just keen to know,but how do you create borders around your pics using photoshop cs?

First set backgroud colour for the border, then crop picture size down by minus how much border you want. Last canvas size back to orginal size then you should have a nice border. For exmple 4R photo with 0.2in white border. So backgroud colour is change to white, then crop photo to 5.8in by 3.8in. Lastly set canvas size back to 6in by 4in. If there a lot of photo you can set a action. It quite easy actualy.

i also set the canvas seize to bigger, usually 60 pixels more
